Waiting

A cacophony of silence
breaks the heart and

  1. The waiting in your poem seems ominous, Teri. I hope that soon the light illuminates more than ashes. Hugs to you from CO.

    1. Hello Barb- You are too kind. Honestly the words for the little verse washed over me and moved away. Being a grandma is heavenly - but dealing with elderly parents can be trying. I must think about a new years resolution to write again. (and not just about the heavy moments!) xoxox Teri

  2. At this time your verse reminds me of this piece (which I wrote before reading your verse):

And too of ashes already spread, and those just waiting...

It is normal and OK to feel. That is life. Enjoy the Grandma bits. And as for the Elder parents...Been there done and doing that too. Support is 'here' anytime... hugs.
