Waiting

In this rain drenched realm,
a thin oath,
transparent and harrowing
bringing worms and grubs
gasping
to the surface.
Borrow or steal
the guess that brings a change.
Either I  stifle the marrow
or march into the buried heart
and rip it free.

I saw the new day waiting.

This weeks words: either, harrowing, marrow, grubs,  thin, oath,
saw, guess, rare, march, borrow, transparent

  1. I love that they are gasping toward the surface...there's hope and tension in that image. Lovely work.

    1. Robyn- I have been dragging my feet, if I would march that new day would arrive sooner. Thanks for stopping by!

I also liked the images of gasping to the surface. Often feel that way myself of a morning,

    1. Jules- I need to stop dragging my feet. Things would go much more gently if I did that.
