far enough

March 22,  2012 - Small Stones
far enough  by Teri H Hoover

Caught up in the moment
tumbling toward the edge.
A tide of periwinkle
skitters to a
stop.

 "Oh's" of
surprise-
on their open mouthed faces
Realizing they have gone far
enough.

  1. Great poem - those periwinkle do tumble every which way (thank goodness). It's one of my stalwart bloomers here at altitude. I'll think of your poem when mine finally bloom.

    1. If you had seen me walking, you would have thought I skittered to a stop, whirled around and whipped out my camera/phone to take a photo of the flowers... Hope you have had a nice week!
