With Perspective

Outside
winter played with spring-
tickling her with snowflakes.
I was not amused~

Inside
pillows conspired with the blanket-
and my dog succumbed to the couch
Without remorse I surrendered for an hour.

Side by side
As spring pillows, winter blankets melt away.
I awoke to sunshine running
through the willow outside my window,
chasing winter away.

  2. Hey there Annette- so glad to have you visit. That line fell onto the page and I was very happy with it as well.
